Important — Your Exam Can Only Be Completed Once

AI research

Each assigned certification examination is intended for one completion only.

Once you begin and successfully submit your examination, the exam is considered completed and cannot be restarted, reopened, or taken a second time using the same examination access.

Candidates should therefore make sure they are ready before starting the exam.

08 Assessment & Exams

Before selecting Start Exam, confirm that:

  • Your assigned login details are working
  • You have selected the correct certification examination
  • You have a reliable internet connection
  • Your computer or device is functioning properly
  • You have sufficient uninterrupted time to complete the examination
  • You understand the examination instructions
  • You are ready to complete the 100 MCQs within the 90-minute examination period

Candidates should not open or start the examination simply to preview the questions.

Because the examination consists of 100 questions in 90 minutes, candidates should manage their time efficiently and avoid spending excessive time on individual questions.

17 Assessment & Exams

For Capstone Project and Trainer-Assessed Candidates

Candidates whose certification pathway requires a Capstone Project, project-based assessment, or other trainer-assigned assessment must complete and submit their work to their assigned trainer by the established due date.

Unlike the timed 100-MCQ examination, capstone projects provide candidates with a defined period in which to research, analyze, develop, complete, review, and submit their work.

18 Assessment & Exams

Candidates are responsible for carefully reviewing:

  • Capstone project instructions
  • Project requirements
  • Assessment criteria
  • Required deliverables
  • Formatting requirements
  • Submission method
  • Assigned trainer information
  • Project due date
  • Any other assessment instructions
19 Assessment & Exams

Submit Your Capstone Project by the Due Date

Academic partnership

Completed capstone projects must be submitted to the assigned trainer by the communicated due date.

Candidates should plan their work carefully and avoid waiting until the final day to complete or submit the project.

A recommended project-management approach is:

  • REVIEW REQUIREMENTS
  • PLAN
  • RESEARCH
  • DEVELOP
  • ANALYZE
  • COMPLETE
  • PROOFREAD
  • VERIFY REQUIREMENTS
  • SUBMIT TO ASSIGNED TRAINER BY DUE DATE

Candidate Responsibility

Candidates are responsible for ensuring that the correct and complete version of the project is submitted.

20 Assessment & Exams

Before submission, confirm that:

  • All required sections have been completed
  • The project addresses the assigned requirements
  • Required files are included
  • The work is clearly organized
  • Sources are appropriately acknowledged where required
  • The correct file format has been used
  • The candidate's identifying information is included where required
  • The project has been submitted to the correct assigned trainer
  • Submission occurs on or before the established due date
21 Assessment & Exams

Late Capstone Project Submissions

Candidates who believe they will be unable to meet an assigned capstone project deadline should communicate with their assigned trainer before the due date whenever possible.

Any extension, revised deadline, or alternative arrangement must be approved according to applicable IBACTP® requirements. Candidates should not assume that a late submission will automatically be accepted.
